Player nowadays plays valorant full time. Valorant has become a significant part of some people’s life. Even Esports is focusing more and more on Valorant. Talking about Esport, I am going to talk about one of the most commonly picked maps by all teams, Icebox. Icebox was once considered to be one of the worst maps that exist in Valorant. Riot decided to rework this map, and now everybody is crazed about this map.

Icebox

Icebox location is Bennett Island, Sakha, Far Eastern Federal District, Russia, Alpha Earth. These maps get many patch updates to improve for both attacker and defender. You can find two orbs near A site and a second outside B garage. This is a perfect and favorite map for Jett, Raze, and the Omen agent to use the best box space; other agents, like Sova and Cyber, struggle on the Icebox map.

Best Strategy to use in Icebox

In Attacking

The best formation to use in attacking is 3-2, 3 site and two mid while attacking. This will divide your enemy into two groups that are easy to pick instead of 5. Besides, it is easier to attack from two sides rather than one in Icebox. There are a lot of places where Jett or raze can climb to pick you up. Beware of such places. As you rush, always use smoke as it will help you a lot on this map and when entering, smoke the entrance where the enemy might enter.

In my opinion, if you have a good duelist, then push A as it is easier to attack than B. But don’t keep attacking the same site over and over again. Change your Strategy as the enemy will catch on to you quickly based on their ranks.

In Defending

In defending, you can play standard formation 2-2-1, which means 2 A, 2 B, and one mid or kitchen. This will help you a lot if the enemy is pushing from either side. You can give an early callout to make your team rotate to your site. Always act fast when you are playing this map, as this map doesn’t have a lot of places where an enemy might enter.

When you are in defense, I really recommend you to play for picks because this map has many places where you can pick an enemy without the enemy even noticing it. According to most of the players, Icebox is a defending map which means defending is easier than attacking. So you might wanna take as many rounds as you can on defense.

Icebox is very fun to play map, and with this guide, you can become better at this map. If you have any questions about this map, leave them in the comment box down below.
