All Valorant Initiator Agents: Updates in Patch 5.71 Notes

Choosing an Agent/Character in Valorant is a very important part of the game. The agent is not a simple character design in Valorant. Every agent had their own abilities and advantages in the game. You can choose the agent depending on your game style. Some agents are attackers, which you select to play in the front line. Some are defenders used to control the site, and some are used to enter or retake the site.

There are 19 Valorant Agents in the game; these are divided into four types. These types are known as Controller, Sentinel, Initiator and Duelist.

Initiator : Sova, Breach, Skye, KAY/O, Fade
Controller : Brimstone, Viper, Omen, Astra,
Sentinel : Killjoy, Cypher, Sage, Chamber
Duelist : Phoenix, Jett, Reyna, Raze, Yoru, Neon

Initiators, get enemy intel and find enemy moments to help their team.

Controllers block enemy sight lines and help teams stop an enemy push or entering the site.

Sentinel are defenders played at the back line to help their team.

Duelists are also known as attackers; they push forward in conflicts with enemy teams.

Today’s guide will talk about Initiator agents; we will briefly discuss their abilities and best use case in the different maps.

Sova

If you need to collect enemy intel, Sova is the best agent. Its most powerful reconnaissance agent is Valorant. Recon Bolt abilities are used to find the enemy’s location in the area and check if its site is safe or not. Sova also uses drones to check corners if any enemy hides theirs. With the Drone, sova can use Shock Bolt to clear the different angles and areas from enemies. Lastly, the hunter fury, which Sova can use anywhere from the map, passes through walls and objects and enemies coming into the radius will get heavy damage.

Owl Drone | 400 Credits | 1 Charge

Owl Drone can be used to find the enemy’s location and tag the enemies. Drone movement control by sova.

Shock Bolt | 150 Credits | 2 Charges

The Sova Shock Bolt gives damage when it collides with a player. Sova can bounce the arrow by adding one or two bounces.

Recon Bolt | Free | 1 Charge | 40s Cooldown

One of the most used abilities and signature signs of sova. It is used to find intel on enemies and clear the area from enemies to enter or retake a site.

Ultimate | Hunter’s Fury | 8 Points

Three long-range wall-piercing energy blasts. Which sova can be used to damage the players and reveal the location of who comes within the radius. Sova can use it two more times while the ability timer is active.

Breach

The breach is used to enter or retake the site due to his Aftershock and Fault line abilities. Aftershocks can be used to check corners which are difficult to clear. Breach flash can be used through a wall to blind the other side. The Rolling Thunder Breach Ultimate can be used to push the site entry fully.

Aftershock | 200 Credits | 1 Charge

This is a fusion charge which sets slow acting burst through the wall. It does heavy damage to anyone who comes to the radius.

Flashpoint | 250 Credits | 2 Charges

Flashpoint can also be used through the wall and blind the players on the other side of the wall or area.

Fault Line | Free | 1 Charge | 40s Recharge

A seismic blast sets off the quake, dazing all players who come into the zone.

Ultimate | Rolling Thunder | 7 Points

It sent a heavy quake through all terrain in a large area, which knocks up and quakes dazes caught in it.

Skye

Skye is a powerful initiator agent known as an all-rounder Initiator agent due to his all-rounder abilities. Skye can provide intel like Sova with his Seekers and Trailblazer. It uses flash like Breach and can heal its teammates to match its abilities with Sage Controller agents. Skye uses Guiding Light which lasts for 2.5 seconds. Skye can detonate it early and control the guiding light. Skye also has a Trailblazer, which can hunt enemies, but enemies can destroy it. Seeker, the Skye ultimate, is used to collect intel on the players, and it nearsighted the enemies if they reach them.

Regrowth | 200 Credits | 1 Charge

Using regrowth, Skye can heal his teammates in the range and line of sight, and Skye can reuse it after depletion. But Skye cannot use it for itself.

Trailblazer | 250 Credits | 1 Charge

Trailblazer is a Tasmanian tiger trinket. Skye can send it out and take control of the predator. It explodes with a concussive blast and damages the enemies with direct hits.

Guiding Light | 250 Credits | 2 Charges | 40s Cooldown

The guiding light is a hawk trinket which can send forward and guide the hawk in the crosshair direction. It transforms into a flash, and you can hit confirm sound when enemies get blind.

Ultimate | Seekers | 7 Points

Seekers can send out which track down the closest enemies. If they reach the target, it’s nearsighted for them.

KAY/O

If you want an agent who can disable other players’ abilities, you can pick KAY/O. Can flash is useful when you and your teammates want a quick peek. KAY/O farg work as a grande stick to the floor and explodes multiple times. The KAY/O signature ability is a suppression blade which can disable players’ abilities who come within a radius. KAY/O Ultimate also works as a Zero point ability, suppressing players in large areas and increasing its combat stimulus, and, if it gets down, it can be re-stabilized.

FRAG/MENT | 200 Credits | 1 Charge

It’s an explosive fragment which can throw. Fragments can stick to the floor and explode multi-time, which causes damage to players who are in the zone.

FLASH/DRIVE | 250 Credits | 2 Charges

It’s a flash grade that can explode after a short fuse and blind anyone in sight.

ZERO/POINT | Free | 1 Charge | 40s Cooldown

It’s a suppression blade which can stick to the surface first, then winds up and suppresses anyone is in the radius.

Ultimate | NULL/CMD | 7 Points

KAY/O ultimately makes him instantly overloaded with radiant energy. His body emits large energy pulses from his location; if pulses hit enemies, they get suppressed for a short time. It also increases KAY/O combat stim, which can be re-stabilized if it gets down.

Fade

This is a new agent in the Valorant lineup. It’s a nightmare-wielding Initior with a versatile move set. She is from Turkey, and his primary ability is to hunt enemies using fear. She basically controls their fear. Fade uses his Prowler abilities to travel in a straight line, lock into enemies, and give trails in the frontal vision cone and chase. She also has nightmarish entities which reveal the location of enemies caught in the radius. Fade ultimate is called Nightfall, which sends out a wave of nightmare energy, creating a trail of opponents and deafening them.

Prowler | 250 Credits | 2 Charges

Prowler’s ability to travel in a straight line. It locks onto any enemy and provides trails in their frontal vision, cone and chase.

Seize | 200 Credits | 1 Charge

Seize is an orb of nightmare ink. It plummets to the ground after a set amount of time. It explodes and creates a zone in which enemies who are caught cannot escape it

Haunt: Free | 1 Charge | 40s Cooldown

Haunt is a nightmarish entity. It plummets to the ground after a set amount of time. It explodes and creates a zone that provides enemies caught in its line of sight.

Ultimate | Nightfall | 7 Points

It’s the power of fear. Which sends out a wave of nightmare energy that can traverse through walls. It creates a trail to the opponents as well as deafens and decays them
