Howdy! Gamer’s, Today we are discussing Valorant beginner guide and tips. If you are new to the Valorant game, then this guide will be helpful to you. Valorant is different from many shooter games due to his agent’s abilities. Valorant agents/character abilities are very important to play Valorant, so you must learn about agents’ abilities and their roles in different maps.

Valorant Basic Match Rules

The Valorant game has two primary modes: “Unrated” and “Competitive.” Both modes have the same game role and plant/defuse base modes. Two teams played with each other, and both had five players on the team. They either plant the spike or stop the spike.

Every map or game has two sides known as Attackers and Defenders.

Attackers:  The attacker team needs to eliminate all defenders, plant the spike, and stop the defender to defuse the spike. The spike can only be planted into selected areas on the map.

Defenders: You need to eliminate the attacker or stop the attacker to plant the spike in 100 seconds or defuse the spike to win the round.

Unrated is a casual mode, and your rank does not get affected by playing unrated. Competitive is a more intense game and determines your competitive rank. Valorant recommends playing at least 200 hours unrated before starting a competitive rank match.

What are Valorant Agents

There are a total of 19 Agents in Valorant currently. All Valorant agents have different abilities from other agents, and you need to select agents based on their abilities. Standard abilities for agents are flashes, blinds, concussions and ultimate.

Flash: This ability is used to block other player sightlines, which make the player screen white, direct flash hit while causing longer impacts. The player can doge the flash.

Nearsighted: This ability dramatically shortens the vision range of affected plates. Players can only see a short distance in front of them,

Concussions: This ability makes the player screen slightly distorted and audio, fire rate and movement reduced.

Ultimate: Every valorant agent has an ultimate which comes after eliminating players. This ability typically increases agent fire rate, movement speed and bullet velocity.

How many Agent types are in Valorant?

There are 19 Valorant Agents in the game; these are divided into four type groups. These types are known as Controller, Sentinel, Initiator and Duelist.

Duelist     : Phoenix, Jett, Reyna, Raze, Yoru, Neon

Initiator    : Sova, Breach, Skye, KAY/O, Fade

Controller : Brimstone, Viper, Omen, Astra,

Sentinel    : Killjoy, Cypher, Sage, Chamber

Duelists are also known as attackers; they push forward to conflicts with enemy teams.

Initiators get enemy intel and find enemy moments to help their team.

Controllers block enemy sight lines and help teams stop enemy push or entering the site.

Sentinel are defenders played at the back line to help their team.

What are Valorant Creds

You need credits in every round in Valorant to buy weapons, armour and agents abilities with that creds. The first round in unrated and competitive starts with 800 credit points for each player. Credits will increase when you win a round, and you can also keep the last round of weapons if you survive. You can also drop weapons to your teammates if they have fewer credits to buy a weapon. Abilities also carry over the next round if you don’t use them, and armour if that does not get destroyed. Credits are very important in valorant, so you must know when to save them or use them.

Know what to buy and when to save

There are four types of buy rounds in valorant known Save Rounds, Full Buy Rounds, Force Buy Rounds and Partial Buy Rounds.

Save Rounds

In the save round, everyone should save for the next round. This means you don’t buy anything or only a pistol and one ability.

Full Buy Rounds

In the full buy round, all team members should buy weapons  (rifles or sniper rifles), armour, and your agents’ abilities.

Force Buy Rounds

In a force buy round, you must buy the best weapon and armour. Force buy rounds usually come when you need to win a round or a comeback in the game.

Partial Buy Rounds

Only one or two players might buy the weapon in the partial buy round, and everyone else saves enough credits for the next rounds.
