Crosshair Placement

The most important thing in Valorant is crosshair placement. If your crosshair is in the right place, you can easily take a headshot and defeat your enemy. Remember to always place your crosshair at the level of your enemy’s head.

Counterstrafe While Firing

The mechanics of Valorant are different than other games. If you move while firing, your bullets won’t connect with your enem wy. You must stay still to fire an accurate shot, making you an easy target for the enemy.

There is a way you can move and still land an accurate shot on the enemy. It’s called Counter-Strafing. To counter-strafe, you have to peek with the left button, and when you see an enemy, pressing the right button will make you stop instantly, and you can shoot with great accuracy. Most of the players in Silver won’t counter-strafe. That is why they got stuck in Silver. I strongly recommend counter-strafe as it is one of the best ways to get easy kills in Valorant.

Don’t Crouch While in a Fight

Another mistake that silver players make is that they crouch when they are in the fight, making them an easy target for the enemy. As you see, the aim of an average silver player is not that good. They don’t always aim for the head, so if you crouch, no matter if they are aiming for the lead or not, you still get a headshot from them. So never crouch while in a mid-fight, especially in silver lobbies.

Don’t Spray and Pray

The first thing you must remember is that when you see an enemy, don’t panic and spray on them. Make your timing first and go with a little burst. The mechanics of Valorant is unlike cs go, where you can predict the spray pattern and control the spray. In Valorant, they designed a spray pattern to be unpredictable. So don’t spray; instead, go for a little burst of 3 to 4 bullet counter strafe, then burst. With this, you can quickly get a headshot while being a hard target to hit. You can spray in only one condition, and if you spot more than one enemy, you can get one enemy with a burst and spray on a second.

Holding Angles

When you are defending, or after planting on site, you have to hold angles. Always keep angles that are close to walls so that if you miss your shot, you can go to cover. Don’t take a wide peek, as it will ruin your gameplay, and if you have one or more enemies in front of you, you will surely die.

The right way to Peek

You must peek the right way when you are in a competitive game. Always remember to peak with side buttons, don’t peek with the W key. Never hold the walk button while peeking because it will make you an easy target. Always peek with sprint as it is very hard to aim if you are sprinting.

Always check corners

Most players in Silver don’t check corners in the match. If someone is waiting in the corner, you will get killed easily by them. So always prefire in corners so if someone is hiding there, he will get killed by your prefire.

Flanking your enemy

You can only take advantage of the flank when there is no KJ and chamber. You will get discovered if they have these agents. Most players even had these agents, and that’s their biggest mistake. So only flank when they don’t have a KJ or chamber, and flanks with walking don’t sprint.
