If you love FPS multiplayer games, then Valorant is one of the most popular multiplayer games right now. The game’s main mode is a 5v5 FPS shooter with more than 15+ agents to play the game. The Valorant community is increasing daily due to the amazing game experience of Riot Games.

You can put your skill to the test with mind games and climb up to the top of the regional leaderboards. Remember, when you progress to a high level, the competition becomes harder. So before you go to compete, you must understand the Valorant rank system.

In this article, we will tell you more about the Valorant rank system, Rank and Tiers, and Regional Leaderboards.

Valorant Rank System

Valorant ranking system is not difficult to understand. Valorant ranking system is basically a reflection of your skill and gameplay abilities. Valorant also called this ranking system “proven skill.”

If you are new to the game then you must level up your account to 20 levels to play competitively to unlock your rank. You have to play the first five games to unlock your rank. Your rank depends on your skill and performance in the first five valorant competitive games.

Also, remember to reach level 20 because you have to win 20-plus games in any mode in the game, or you can complete challenges to level up.  Valorant recently added a level 20 policy to play competitive mode due to trolls and smurfs players.

After levelling up your account to level 20, the next setup is to play for your rank in five placement matches in a competition which determines your valorant which you can increase by winning more and more games. Remember that if you lose the competitive game, your rank/point will decrease, and you may de-rank to lower.

Regional Leaderboards

Every region has their leaderboards where you can find highly ranked players in your region. Also, you can find other players and yourself in regional leaderboards, but you have to play at least 50 plus competitive games first. The regional leaderboard is introduced in episode 2. In the regional leaderboard, you can find high rank, player name, player ranking points, total game win, different tiers and act.

What are Valorant acts and Episodes?

Acts is basically a new season in valorant. Every act has a two-month span; during that two months, you can push your rank, which will reset with the new act. Each episode had three acts in it. This means an episode span time is six months; right now, in Valorant there is Episode 5 running with Act 3.

Valorant restrictions

Here are some restrictions in valorant to play competitive games. Valorant adds these restrictions to stop smurfs and trolls.

  • Four groups cannot play competitively due to solo players getting picked.
  • Groups of two or three players must stay within the rank disparity requirements.
  • Groups of five have no restrictions.

We hope you understand everything about the Valorant Ranking System. If you still have some questions, please feel free to ask in the comment box.
