Valorant has become a great game for those who are really into competitive games. They have released many agents since its release. One of the best and most powerful agents in all of these is Reyna. She is a duelist from Mexico, and they gave her a dark, scary look.
Reyna
Reyna is the 11th agent that’s been unveiled by Riot games in Valorant. Reyna has become one of the top agents in Valorant as most players just install lock her. She is a self-sufficient duelist who doesn’t need anyone to kill or push the site. The main objective of Reyna is to push the site and secure first blood to give her team an advantage.
When they launched Reyna, she was so overpowered that Riot decided to nerf her. She used to have four orbs of the soul, but they nerfed it to 2 orbs per round. She can heal or become intangible for a short duration of time through her orb. An orb will only form when she kills or assists other players.
Abilities of Reyna
Reyna Posses the following abilities:
Leer | 250 Credits | 2 Charges
Leer is an ethereal destructible eye. She can cast the eye a short distance forward, which blocks enemies nearsighted who look at it.
Devour | 200 Credits (Shared with Dismiss) | 2 Charges
Any enemies which are killed by Reyna leave behind Soul Orbs which can last for three seconds. She can use nearby soul orbs to heal herself. If Empress is active, this skill will automatically cast and not consume the orb.
Dismiss | 200 Credits (Shared with Devour) | 2 Charges
She can also use the soul orb and become intangible for a short duration. She becomes invisible if Empress is active.
Ultimate | Empress | 6 Points
Reyna Ultimate increases her firing speed, equip and reload speed dramatically.
How to Use Reyna Properly in Valorant
To use this agent, first, you have to understand what Reyna can and cannot do, as Reyna is a self-sufficient duelist who doesn’t need anyone to secure kills. She is really good at picking first kills and pushing sites with her leer.
Attacking Side
On the attacking side, you are a duelist, so you have a push site and secure kills. In the first round, Reyna is so powerful because of her healing. Always try to heal after getting the first kill, as 150 health will make you win that round easily. Remember to use your leer when entering as it only nearsighted your enemy and can help you push the site easily.
Most Reyna users only use dismiss and don’t use heal, which results in losing the round. Balance using both her ability in certain situations. Another great thing that you can do with Reyna is that you can go for a wide peak, and after getting a kill, you can dismiss and come back in cover.
Defending Side
On the defending side, Reyna can hold corners that normal players can’t hold. She can hold a wide corner. If a normal agent holds that spot, they will die unless they have a special ability to escape like Reyna.
Reyna is most powerful in defending the Accent map. As there are a lot of wide peek spots that she can hold and get easily killed. When you use leer, always check corners as your enemy is nearsighted, not blind and can kill you if you are close enough. Reyna’s ultimate is also great to retake the site as she can easily handle 3 to 4 enemies. When you are in Reyna’s ult, try to play close to walls as you can use dismiss to go to cover.
