Episodes are the most significant competitive time frame in any FPS game. Every Episode includes three acts, and each act runs for two months, meaning each episode runs for 6 months. The act includes a season pass; episodes include three season passes and agent or map updates.
We can also say that acts include larger season updates, and episodes include fewer updates. Episodes and Acts include unique content like new agents, game modes, maps, and gun skins. Episodes and acts also save your previous rank and rest with the new acts. Players must play 5 games before starting their competitive rank system.

Acts include much bigger updates like new agents, new maps and game modes come in acts. Right now, Valorant launches six agents or maps in a year. Valorant also released special mid acts updates for special events like Valorant 1-year anniversary and the Arcade game launch. This mid-season battle pass is free to earn by just playing the game. These five episodes include 19 agent updates and eight map updates. Valorant also issues patch updates anytime to fix some bugs in the game.
